Baking soda is often used as a cleaning paste to remove dirt and odours from various surfaces. Mix a little baking soda and water to make a paste, then rub it over kitchen and bathroom surfaces such as sinks, tubs, shower stalls, tiles and ovens. Leave on for a few minutes, then rinse and wipe dry.
Baking soda can help get rid of unpleasant odours in your home. Put a few spoonfuls of baking soda in a bowl and drizzle a few drops of essential oils (such as lavender, lemon or mint) over it. Place the mixture near the source of odours in your home, such as on the kitchen counter, next to the trash can or on the pet mat.
